Facility Planning
A Quick Look
Ed Group Facility Planning focuses a school district on how to advance educational goals through better utilization of current and future physical facilities. This process, which includes input from parents, students, teachers, school staff, and community, helps local school leaders improve instruction, school climate, school culture, and organizational effectiveness.
A Closer Look
Facility Planning involves much more than facilities; it requires a deeper look into the needs of the district. The Ed Group believes that a building should respond to the academic needs of a school and not just fit the traditional mode of forcing school programs into buildings. To avoid the square peg in a round hole syndrome the Ed Group listens to the administration, board, teachers, students, and community to discover true needs before planning buildings. This comprehensive effort also looks at demographic issues of growth, both internally and externally.
Schools are encouraged to dream about their future and to plan facilities that accommodate the dreams and hopes of each community.
