Attendees raved about the practical lessons they took home to their schools from JBHM Education Group’s Second Annual Best Practices Conference, and the best is yet to come. In 2012, our third annual conference will provide a unique blend of keynote speakers and presentations from practitioners. JBHM specialists and school partners will present their experiences, with a focus on providing practical strategies that can be implemented in every school. Our partners are changing the way they teach and lead, and they are bringing their stories to share with all of us.
This year, JBHM specialists will team with administrators and teachers from partner schools to tell how they are meeting new challenges, including those presented by the transition to the Common Core State Standards. You’ll hear from districts and schools in several states that have faced hard times and tough challenges—and from schools that have performed well and are now aiming to reach the top. We’ll be joined by nationally-renowned experts, including Dr. Douglas B. Reeves of The Leadership and Learning Center, who will discuss adapting creatively to the changes that are arising as a result of decreasing budgets and the advent of the Common Core State Standards. All of our presenters have one thing in common: a focus on increasing achievement for every student.
Best Practices 2012: An Experience Built Around You
Feedback from last year’s attendees has helped make the 2012 Best Practices Conference program our strongest yet. It offers even more vital information to take home to your schools. There are more breakout sessions, providing you with the opportunity to cover every conference topic over the course of two days. We’ve added workshops that call on you to roll up your sleeves and get involved. And, recognizing that the transition to the Common Core State Standards requires teamwork from the board room to the classroom, we’ve created a conference strand specifically for school board members.
