ACT* Up

ACT* Up is an exciting new strategic preparation tool that not only provides for student success but will support teachers as well. Offering guidance through materials developed by a team of JBHM Education Group specialists, ACT* Up strategic preparation works hand-in-hand with job-embedded teacher training to go beyond traditional ACT preparatory measures. Through this process, teachers learn to better direct students on score improvement through strategies and skill development exercises.

A Closer Look
Many students’ scores on the ACT limit their choices in the next phase of their education. In order to broaden students’ opportunities, they must often increase their score in multiple areas of the ACT and to do this, they must have direction from skilled classroom teachers. The strategies used in the ACT* Up materials were wrought from the personal experiences of Ed Group developers or were shared with developers by teachers and students. The ACT* Up materials include actual lesson plans that teachers can follow with the goal of raising student achievement on the ACT.  The ACT* Up strategic preparation materials are supplemented by McGraw-Hill’s ACT test prep book, which provides numerous assessments while also providing explanations for each test item. Along with this book, the Ed Group also provides a Casio FX-260 Scientific Solar Calculator for each student to be used during the course.
